Licensing Expo has teamed up with FN Platform, MAGIC Market Week's footwear group, for a special seminar focused on footwear and brand licensing.

Taking place today, on the first day of the semi-annual trade show, "Footwear and Brand Licensing: Lessons from the Experts" will discuss how brands can tap into additional revenue streams by expanding outside of core product categories through outbound licensing.

A panel of experts will share how they have leveraged established and emerging brands through collaborations and inbound licensing partnerships to take a competitive lead in the market.

The session will be moderated by Licensing Expo's fashion and lifestyle manager Stacey Campot with speakers including Steve Mandel, director of global brand licensing at Skechers; Zina Zegans, vice president of licensing at Steve Madden; and Steven Ekstract, publisher of License! Global magazine.

"Our panel of experts includes executives from some of the biggest brands in footwear licensing today," says Campot. "Not only will this seminar give an insightful look into how these brands have taken their business outside the shoe aisle, but it also provides an incredibly relevant case study of the opportunities licensing can open up for any brand–whether it be footwear, apparel or accessories."
