EUROPE–The digital news organization BuzzFeed has joined Brand Licensing Europe for a keynote session, titled “Licensing: The Next Generation.”
“Licensing: The Next Generation” will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 11, and will see Eric Karp, head of licensing, Buzzfeed, delve into next generation platforms, content, retail and merchandising, commerce and tech.
Karp will also be joined by Dan Amos of Tinderbox, John Erlandson of Authentic Brands Group and Naz Cuevas of Sybo Games. The panel keynote discussion will be chaired by Steven Ekstract, group publisher, License Global.
Brand Licensing Europe, now in its 19th year, will open its doors at London’s Olympia on Tuesday, Oct. 10. This year’s event is slated to be the biggest show to date with more floor space, visitors and content.
This year, the show is set to welcome more than 2,500 brands across entertainment, sports, video games, food and drink, celebrity, heritage and more. It will also feature over 170 licensed products–ranging from apparel to DIY and from electronics to stationery–in the revamped Product Showcase. The show will also unveil its inaugural Gaming Activation Area.
In addition, BLE will play host to a number of celebrity animal appearances including Streetcat Bob, the ginger cat from the film A Street Cat Named Bob; Battersea dog Peppa the miniature German Schnauzer; and Sir Killalot from BBC2’s “Robot Wars.”
