The LEGO Group and Universal Products & Experiences have revealed the full lineup of LEGO “Wicked” products, inspired by the upcoming musical event film from Universal Pictures, which is coming to theaters in November. The four new sets feature mini-dolls and characters such as Glinda and Elphaba, The Wizard and more.
With the LEGO Wicked Elphaba and Glinda Figures set, fans can scan a QR code to play along a brick-build story to the tune of “Defying Gravity” from the film. The set includes accessories for the two characters with Elphaba’s broom and Glinda’s purse and crown. A buildable base quickly turns this set from an unlimited play experience, into a display model.
LEGO Wicked Welcome to Emerald City tower set offers a view of Emerald City and includes five mini dolls based on the film’s characters, Glinda, Elphaba, The Wizard, Madame Morrible and Fiyero.
The LEGO Wicked Glinda and Elphaba’s Dormitory set recreates the location with a detailed suitcase that opens up to become the two girls’ dorm room.
The LEGO Wicked Glinda, Elphaba and Nessarose at Shiz University set features golden detailing and a pink-shaded hinged sail, on which Glinda first arrives at the most prestigious university in all of Oz. The set features a two-story university building, balconies, study spaces and many other details. In the building, Glinda finds Elphaba and Nessarose, Elphaba’s sister.
Hidden QR codes can be found in every set for fans to unlock inspirational content to create even more pink-and-green LEGO Wicked moments.
“I’m truly excited that we can finally reveal our lineup of LEGO ‘Wicked’ sets,” says Raquel Ojeda Gregorio, LEGO Wicked design lead, LEGO Group. “I am a big fan of the ‘Wicked’ story, so it was an honor for me to get to work as part of an amazing team to recreate some of the unique locations, characters and storylines from the magical world of Oz. We chose some heartwarming moments from the film, so fans can bring a part of the story home and defy gravity using LEGO bricks.”
The LEGO “Wicked” sets will be available starting Oct. 1 via LEGO Stores and retailers around the world.
