Wicked Cool to Reboot Teddy Ruxpin

Toy company teams with Alchemy II to bring back the iconic talking teddy bear.

The re-launch will include a new toy line, content and a comprehensive licensed merchandise program.

“Teddy Ruxpin’s play pattern and infusion of technology was way ahead of his time back in the '80s, and with continued massive parental awareness it’s the right time to bring back this coveted brand,” says Michel Rinzler, co-president and founding partner, Wicked Cool Toys.

Teddy Ruxpin originally launched in 1985 and created a new industry category in talking toys. The toy was named one of the 100 Greatest Toys of All-Time by

Time

Magazine

and sold more than 8 million units.
