Spin Master Games and Warner Bros. Consumer Products have teamed up to create Stratego–The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug game based on The Hobbit movie trilogy from New Line Cinema and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.

Created for kids ages 8 and older the Hobbit-themed version of the classic battlefield strategy game has two play options: one side of the game board features original Stratego play with detailed artwork from The Hobbit trilogy, while the other lets players take on the role of Bilbo Baggins and the Company of Dwarves as they try to escape from Mirkwood. The game also includes exclusive sculpted mover pieces.
