Nickelodeon and Playmates Toys will launch new Teenage Mutant Ninjas Turtles action figures, of the characters Bebop and Rocksteady, exclusively at Walmart this month, in advance of the villains' return to TV in January.

“Bebop and Rocksteady have been fan favorites since the original animated series debuted in the 1980s,” says Karl Aaronian, senior vice president, marketing, Playmates Toys. “We’re thrilled to have had the opportunity to update the characters for a whole new generation of kids and original Turtles fans to enjoy.”

The characters will make their first appearance in the third season of Nickelodeon’s CG-animated “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” TV series early next year.

The Bebop and Rocksteady action figures stand 5-inches tall, are fully articulated and sculpted to capture the personalities of the duo. Each figure is equipped with accessories and is compatible with most of the vehicles and play sets in Playmates' Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toy line.
