The all-new interactive game enables fans of the franchise to feel like they are competing on the “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader” set as they put their knowledge to the test by answering questions taken directly from elementary school curriculum.
“We are thrilled to team with MGM to bring a new twist to the iconic ‘Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader’ franchise, which is a tremendous addition to Volley’s lineup of award-winning original content,” says Max Child, founder, Volley. “We are strategically expanding our partnerships with film and TV studios to leverage the treasure trove of proven IP available for voice-enabled entertainment, and we look forward to delivering more diverse content in the new year.”
Similar to the series, in Volley’s “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader” voice game, contestants are challengedto answer questions from first through fifth grade, starting with a first-grade question. After each correct response, players will graduate to the next grade. If the players answer their final 5th grade question correctly, they can prove they are smarter than a 5th grader.
The game features five school subjects: English, Math, Animal Science, Social Studies and US Geography. Contestants can play by themselves or battle it out in teams.
“Volley is one of the most innovative new companies pushing the boundaries of entertainment in the rapidly emerging space of voice-activated networks,” says Robert Marick, executive vice president, MGM Global Consumer Products and Experiences. “We look forward to introducing MGM’s wildly popular ‘Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader’ global brand to new audiences, and re-engaging with existing fans, through this fun and exciting new interactive game.”
