USAopoly Makes a Play for Star Wars Board Game

Disney Consumer Products U.K. and USAopoly have partnered to develop a line of Star Wars-branded board games for the EMEA region.

USAopoly’s initial lineup will include a light-strategy tabletop game based on the sci-fi franchise. The deal with Disney marks USAopoly’s first product developed for the Star Wars universe.

“Whether we stood in line for the debut motion picture or watched the television series with our children, Star Wars has had a significant impact on many of us here at USAopoly,” says Candace Brenner, vice president, marketing, USAopoly. “We are thrilled to be partnering with Disney Consumer Products to create another avenue where rebels, Jedi and fans alike can come together to enjoy the vast universe.”

Disney and USAopoly have a longstanding partnership that includes the development of board games based on properties including The Nightmare Before Christmas and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The companies have worked on more than 70 themed games in total.
