Xtreme Play has inked a licensing agreement with Universal Content Productions to create a new toy line inspired by the Netflix original series “The Umbrella Academy.”

The new collection will include a range of products including action figures, plush and cosplay items. The deal comes courtesy of Striker Entertainment, who brokered the agreement on behalf of UCP.

“We are thrilled to partner with UCP to bring ‘The Umbrella Academy’ to life and give fans new ways to collect and engage with this amazing brand,” says Stacy Showmaker, brand manager, Xtreme Play, in an interview with ToyBook.

“The Umbrella Academy” is based on a Dark Horse comic written by My Chemical Romance lead singer Gerard Way. The comic version of the property has previously been licensed for a card game.
