Toys ‘R’ Us is gearing up for summer movie season with toys, deals, digital content and events for the season’s anticipated kids’ blockbusters.

Among the movies that the retailer will be featuring this summer include DreamWorks’ How to Train Your Dragon 2, Disney Planes: Fire & Rescue, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and Paramount’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

First up though will be Hasbro’s Transformers: Age of Extinction, in theaters June 27.

From now through the end of July, fans will find a wide assortment of Transformers merchandise, including exclusive items they can’t find anywhere else. The movie will be featured in dedicated in-store shops as well as online.

Among the highlights are the Grimlock Evolution 2-pack of figures that allows kids to convert from robot to dino-mode, available exclusively at TRU.

Additionally, for the full week leading up to the movie’s premiere, kids can also get a first look at Transformers digital content and movie clips on the Kids’ Movie Headquarters micro-site on the TRU website.

Then on June 28, Toys ‘R’ Us stores will host special Transformers-themed giveaways and activities from noon to 2 p.m. Attendees will be able to build their own free Kre-O Transformers figure and experience new Transformers products. Shoppers who spend more than $25 on Transformers toys, video games or movies in-store between June 22 and June 28 will receive a free Transformers: Age of Extinction movie ticket, as well.
