Toybox Labs, in partnership with Paramount Consumer Products, announced that they have signed a licensing agreement to have Nickelodeon IP on the Toybox platform.

Paramount will start off with characters from “SpongeBob SquarePants,” bringing the sea sponge and all his friends to the Toybox Platform. Soon fans will be able to print the Bikini Bottom characters and environments, including SpongeBob’s Pineapple House.

“We are so excited to partner with Paramount and print Nickelodeon characters on the Toybox Platform,” says Ben Baltes, chief executive officer, Toybox Labs. “Having SpongeBob and Patrick join the Toybox team will make thousands of kids and adults elated.”

Additionally, Toybox Labs and Universal Brand Development have signed licensing agreements to have Universal IP on the Toybox platform.

Universal Brand Development will first be launching Illumination’s “Minions” on Toybox. The Minions will be in a unique 8 Bit stylization, exclusively for the Toybox Platform.

“Illumination’s Minions are cultural icons and a great fit for Toybox Labs,” says PJ Palijo, vice president, product design, toys and hardlines, Universal Brand Development. “We’re excited to launch a new product platform with these beloved characters and hope to inspire fans of all ages to build and design.”

“We are so honored to have Universal Brand Development join with our studio partners at Warner Brothers, and Paramount to print their characters on the Toybox Platform,” says Baltes. “Last year we printed 2.4 million toys, this year we’re looking to double that. We cannot wait to launch Illumination’s ‘Minions’ on the platform.”
