TextPride, which develops branded content for mobile devices, has launched its content on four mobile messaging apps, will make its offerings available to more than 500 million users worldwide.

The third party text messaging apps Viber, Kik, GroupMe and Cubie all now offer TextPride “packs” of emoji and digital stickers for more than 200 sports and entertainment brands including the Auburn Tigers, Florida State Seminoles and Wiz Khalifa.

Branded digital content like emoji and virtual stickers that can be included in text messages are an emerging area in brand licensing, with many licensors finding them more effective than standard digital advertising.

“Today’s launch provides brands and entertainers a unique opportunity to reach consumers over the rapidly growing and popular mobile messaging experience,” says Sean O’Brien, co-founder, TextPride. “Our favorite brands are everywhere today, from the clothes we wear to what we watch on TV. Yet, brands are nowhere to be found in the number one way people communicate today–mobile messaging. The difficulty is creating highly desirable content that feels natural to the experience of mobile messaging. We want to provide brands a compelling, cost-effective way to reach millions on this channel, make the licensing process smooth and painless for messaging apps and provide a central, one-and-done approach for both apps and brands.”
