Licensee will create branded motorcycle building sets for global distribution.

Spin Master has partnered with Italian motorcycle company Ducati to create and market Meccano building set versions of the brand’s motorcycles around the world.

The Ducati Monster 1200 S Build and Play,set will feature coil-spring suspension, multi-piece wheels and real steering. The model is made up of more than 290 parts and includes all details of Ducati’s design such as a functioning kickstand and side-mounted staggered shotgun exhaust.

“Meccano and Ducati are both legendary brands with legions of fans around the world and we’re excited to bring these two icons together for the first time,” says Ben Gadbois, global president and chief operating officer, Spin Master. “The Meccano Monster 1200 S model has the unmistakable design and distinguishing features that visibly communicate the sophistication, timeless quality and uniqueness of a Ducati.”

Spin Master acquired Meccano in 2013 and has continued to build Meccano’s portfolio with motor vehicle brands and entertainment licenses.

The new Meccano Ducati Monster set is now available at major retailers across the globe.
