Sphero, a play and STEAM company, has acquired Specdrums, a Colorado-based music tech startup.
Founded in 2016, Specdrums provides app-controlled rings that turn color into sound when worn on a user’s fingers.
Following the acquisition, Sphero’s developers and engineers will work with Specdrum’s founders to create new products that reflect Sphreos’ mission of “inspiring the creators of tomorrow.”
Sphero will also debut a second version of the Specdrums later in the year.
