Originally started in 1923, 24 Hours of Le Mans is an endurance-focused sports car race held annually near the town of Le Mans, France, and 2023 is its 100th anniversary. To celebrate the affair, 24 Hours of Le Mans and

Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO) have partnered with Silverlit to launch a remote-controlled car called Exost Hypercar – a deal brokered by Le Mans’ exclusive licensing agency, IMG.

“The 24 Hours of Le Mans is a unique experience, a moment of emotion that is passed on from generation to generation,” says Stéphane Andriolo, customer and events director, ACO. “You have to live it to understand it. This partnership with Silverlit is a concrete expression of our desire to transmit the passion for the automobile to future generations through an ultra-realistic model that will continue to bring this legendary race to life outside the circuit.”

The remote-controlled car will feature aerodynamic lines, advanced technology and wheels that allow users to make the tires squeal and vibrate to the car engine’s rhythm. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor terrains, the car can reach a top speed of 12.5 mph with a runtime of 45 minutes.

“The shared values between the ACO and Exost allow us to build a meaningful partnership: a shared passion for automobiles (on different scales), a perpetual search for innovation and a desire to transmit and share between generations,” says Julie Lieber, marketing director, SilverLit. “This is why we thought it would be relevant to develop an exclusive hypercar model for the ACO, imagined by our designers and completely dedicated to the 24 Hours of Le Mans.”

This is not the only remote-controlled car partnership Silverlit has built. The toy manufacturer has also partnered with Marvel to make a number of Marvel character-inspired RC vehicles.
