Canadian toy company Imports Dragon has experienced an exceptional amount of growth over the past 24 months due in large part to the licensed kids collectibles brands Shopkins and Trash Pack.
Both brands are the brain child of Australian-based Moose Toys and are distributed in Canada exclusively by Imports Dragon. Over the last two years Shopkins has sold more than $57 million dollars of products at retail in multiple categories including collectibles, plush, candy, stationary and other impulse items; while Trash Pack has generated more than $28 million dollars at retail in Canada since its launch in the country.
"We are thrilled with the amazing growth for Imports Dragon, and we thank our retail partners for their incredible support," says Stephan Tetrault, chief executive officer, Imports Dragon. "The success of Shopkins has been unprecedented, and we couldn't have asked for anything more. We are looking forward to the future and to delivering an even bigger and better line of products in 2016."
