Rubik’s Brand, has created a fashion and art-targeted style guide inspired by the Rubik's Cube, that it will debut alongside the brand's licensing agency The Sharpe Company at Licensing Expo June 9-11 in Las Vegas, Nev.

Rubik’s Brand worked with a leading creative agency to create the new style guide, which delves into the brand DNA of the iconic toy, presenting a fashion-forward brand vision that is steeped in the brand's heritage but captures the youth fashion zeitgeist.

The Sharpe Company has been managing the North American third-party licensing for Rubik's Cube for more than 10 years. Previous products have included a game app, an electronic version of the toy, a soft lines program, art, furniture, Converse high tops and novelty items such as a Rubik’s Cube fridge and cookie jar. The company also just finalized a deal with IGT to create a Rubik’s Cube-branded slot machine.

“Rubik’s has always been at the forefront for new and exciting ways to entertain our customers," says Mike Townend, chief executive officer, Rubik’s Brand. "The latest Rubik’s Cube style guide has been created to clearly define the brand look and feel, but more importantly show how it can be used in interesting and creative ways that are relevant to contemporary consumers and fashions. This highly creative execution aims to present the vision of what the Rubik’s Cube stands for and will be important in developing a cohesive brand presentation so Rubik’s can continue to expand the licensed categories.”
