Bob Wann, chief executive officer, PlayMonster, joins the hall of fame following more than 40 years in the toy industry.

The Toy Industry Association has announced that Bob Wann, chief executive officer, PlayMonster, has been nominated for induction in the 2021 class of the Toy Industry Hall of Fame.

Wann is recognized for the nomination for his 40 years of service in the toy industry. He has overseen the expansion of beloved toy brands such as Nerf, Care Bears, Mr. Potato Head, Monopoly, Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, Pictionary, Clue and Spirograph. Wann has also held key roles at companies including Hasbro, Playskool, Milton Bradley/Parker Brothers, American Greetings and Fisher-Price. He has recently developed PlayMonster into an international multi-category company and elevated charitable work within the toy industry through community support initiatives led by his companies.

“To me, there is no more important calling than to champion the power of play for children everywhere, and to challenge myself and our industry as a whole to continue to innovate and bring smiles to young faces,” says Wann. “I am humbled and truly honored by this nomination, and above all thankful to do what I love, and share that with others.”
