New U.K. software publishing business P2 Games, formed by former directors of Pinnacle Software Peter Sleeman and Gerry Whiteside, has won the rights for Chorion's Tracy Beaker childrenÕs brand and E1 Entertainment/Astley Baker Davies' preschool brand Peppa Pig.

Jacqueline Wilson's Tracy Beaker The Game will launch on Nintendo DS and PC in September. Following its launch on the Nintendo DS platform, Peppa Pig The Game will be released on Wii in August.

P2 Games is also in discussion with other major licensors and brand owners and it will also have a stake in selected games development projects on Nintendo DS, Wii, Playstation Network and PC. Details of the full portfolio will be announced shortly.

"We look forward to re-kindling our strong developer relationships and we are actively looking for new innovative gaming content and brands that will help us to achieve our goal of chart success in 2009 and far beyond," says Peter Sleeman, joint managing director of P2 Games.

"We're delighted to be back working together and truly believe that the wealth of our combined experience can add real value to the video game industry," says Gerry Whiteside.
