NY TOY FAIR: Factory Ent Signs with George R.R. Martin

Factory Entertainment has picked up the license for Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin this week at New York Toy Fair.

The company will launch a variety of Marvel products later this year in conjunction with upcoming film releases including

Avengers: Age

of Ultron, Ant-Man,

Captain America: Civil War

and

Doctor Strange

.

Among the products planned for the films are Shakems motion statue collectibles, highly detailed 1:32-scale painted miniatures, Monoliths bas-relief sculptures and walking sticks based on the famous accessories of various characters beginning with The Kingpin’s cane.

Jordan Schwartz, president and chief executive officer, Factory Entertainment. "We’re honored to be able to pay homage to the Marvel legacy by providing our fellow Marvel fans with a line of engaging, high-quality collectibles.”

Additionally, Factory Entertainment has signed a multi-year licensing agreement with novelist, screenwriter and television producer, George R.R. Martin, author of the books that inspired the HBO series "Game of Thrones."

The partnership launches with a collectible plush of Martin dressed in his trademark fisherman’s cap and suspenders and featuring 10 exclusively recorded audio quotes. A number of other products are currently in development.

The company is also expanding its line for the HBO series "Game of Thrones" with new products including a limited edition museum-quality prop replica of the Royal crown of the Houses Baratheon and Lannister. The replica augments Factory Entertainment’s continuing range of Game of Thrones plush characters and decorative throw pillows.
