NY Toy Fair: Disney Unveils Robust Boys’ Lineup
Disney Consumer Products unveiled its upcoming boys’ product lines in a star-studded event at New York Toy Fair earlier this week.

Disney Consumer Products unveiled its upcoming boys’ product lines in a star-studded event at New York Toy Fair earlier this week with Freddie Prinze, Jr. of “Star Wars Rebels,” Andrew Garfield and Jorge Vega of Amazing Spider-Man 2, Dane Cook from Planes: Fire & Rescue and Chris Pratt of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy making appearances.
With a clear focus on the boys’ market, DCP presented new product offerings for Disney’s Planes: Fire & Rescue, “Star Wars Rebels,” Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. To find out more about DCP’s boy toy strategy see the February cover story, “Growing Boys.”
“Disney Consumer Products is firing on all cylinders across our diverse franchise portfolio, and at this year’s Toy Fair we’re building off a successful 2013 to showcase the best of our new and storied properties that will heat up toy aisles in 2014,” says Josh Silverman, executive vice president, global licensing, DCP. “We’re excited to see these four properties take off at retail as we know these innovative products will resonate with kids and fans who want to create their own heroic stories.”
Product highlights of the 2014 lineup include the Planes Fire Blastin’ Dusty Crophopper from Mattel that puts out fires with its “water” ball, LEGO’s Star Wars Rebels Ghost Ship building set, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Star-Lord Quad Blaster role play item from Hasbro and also from Hasbro, the Spider-Man 2 Web-Slinging Spider-Man figure which shoots web fluid or water.
