Discovery Communications is displaying new product for the Discovery Kids, TLC, Animal Planet and Discovery Channel brands at Toy Fair this week.

Discovery Communications has a strong presence at New York Toy Fair this week licensing displaying new product for the Discovery Kids, TLC, Animal Planet and Discovery Channel brands. 

Following the success the adult licensing for the TLC show “Cake Boss,” Discovery is taking the brand into the children’s market and is seeking licenses for the new Cake Boss kids’ line this week at Toy Fair.

The Discovery Kids brand continues to grow with new product launches from Cypher (Jurassic Action excavation kits), Tek Nek (outdoor and role play), Merchsource (tents, magnetic tiles, train sets, garden sets and more), Nkok (interactive tech toys including a battery-operated T-Rex and a laser tag game) and Good Stuff Company (Discovery Kids View-Master reel pack and View-Master gift set).

Animal Planet toys continue to see success after 13 years on shelf at Toys ‘R’ Us, with current partners such as Bendon Publishing featuring new product. Discovery Consumer Products is also seeking to grow its base of partners in categories including plush, arts and crafts, electronic learning aids, novelty toys, construction sets, seasonal toys, ride-ons, games and puzzles.

Finally, Pay Dirt is showcasing its new Gold Rush Panning Kit based on Discovery Channel's highest-rated series, “Gold Rush.” The kits include a bag of authentic pay dirt guaranteed to contain gold, a professional gold pan, a snuffer bottle for retrieving gold from the dirt, a classic vial to store the gold and a certificate of authenticity.
