Oonies will be available this fall at all major retailers.

GLOBAL–Moose Toys is set to release its new craft- and activity-based toy brand Oonies this fall.

The new toy allows children to create their own balloon-like art by inflating pellets into bubble-like Oonies, which kids can then stick together and decorate with a range of accessories to bring their Oonies to life. Each Oonies starter pack will include an inflator, pellets, accessories, eyes and connectors.

Although consumers are encouraged to craft their own designs, Moose Toys will also release themed refill packs including Ocean Adventure, Jungle Wildlife, Monster Mania and Pets.

In addition, Oonies has already been named Australian Craft and Activity Toy of the Year and was the breakout toy at the Tokyo Toy Fair in June.

There’s no word yet as to when Moose Toys will start licensing the brand; however, given the breakout success of Shopkins, Oonies has the potential take the licensing industry by storm in the coming year.

“At Moose we do things differently and Oonies is a great example of the incredible creativity and innovation that is in the DNA of our team,” says Paul Solomon, co-chief executive officer, Moose Toys. “The intense interest and positive feedback from around the globe has the launch of Oonies shaping up to be our biggest ever craft launch.”

Oonies will be available at all major retailers this fall.
