Moose Toys has been named the global toy partner for BBC Studio’s animated series “Bluey.”

As part of the deal, the toymaker will be responsible for all territories, excluding Asia. Moose Toys plans to leverage the license to launch its first range of toys in Australia for holidays 2019 before expanding to other regions in winter 2020.

“The reception for ‘Bluey’ in Australia has been phenomenal, and we believe ‘Bluey’ has what it takes to be a major hit in the preschool aisle around the world,” says Menal McGrath, vice president, global licensing, Moose Toys. “‘Bluey’s’ quirky and heartwarming stories align perfectly with Moose Toys’ core values to make kids happy.”

The toys announcement comes as “Bluey” is set to debut on the global stage as BBC Studios and Disney have announced the first two seasons of the show will premiere internationally on Disney Junior and the upcoming streaming service Disney+ later this year.

“Bluey” started airing in the Australian market last year. The show follows the adventures of a lovable Blue Heeler puppy who lives with her dad, mom and four-year-old little sister, Bingo.
