Kamigami will aim to reinforce the fundamentals of coding and enables children to fold and snap sheets of plastic together to create a variety of robotic insets such as praying mantises, scorpions, lady bugs and more. Once kids build their robotic creature, they can program it to move around a number of terrains and interact with other Kamigami robots.
“As a company committed to learning, development and play, we are focused on creating product experiences that are not only fun for kids, but appreciated by parents for their benefits,” says Sven Gerjets, chief technology officer, Mattel. “By partnering with Dash Robotics, we are introducing children to the fundamentals of robotics engineering while making it fun, social and interactive.”
The Kamigami robotics range is now available at Target.
