Mattel, in partnership with The Pokémon Company International, will release a new Pokemon-themed construction line under the Mega Construx brand, formerly known as Mega Bloks.

The new collection will feature sets that allow fans to construct Pokémon settings and battles among buildable, articulated figures of multiple Pokémon characters, including Pikachu, Charizard and more.

“Mega Construx brings the engaging world of Pokémon to life in one of the most popular play expressions for kids today,” says Colin Palmer, vice president, marketing, The Pokémon Company International. “We bring only the highest quality Pokémon experiences to our fans around the world and Mega Brands’ attention to detail and thoughtful creativity with Mega Construx is sure to delight kids as well as the most passionate Pokémon trainers.”

The Pokémon-inspired construction sets will be available this summer at retailers throughout the U.S., including Toys ‘R’ Us, Walmart, Target and Amazon.

“Mega Construx offers Pokémon fans a new way to further immerse themselves in the world they love through construction,” says Bisma Ansari, senior vice president and global brand general manager, Mega Brands. “With authenticity at the forefront, Pokémon fans can build their favorite Pokémon and evolve them from one level to the next–and of course, build them all.”
