Mantic Games, producers of the Dreadball and Deadzone tabletop war games, received the $50,000 it need to create a new Mars Attacks! tabletop game after just 15 minutes on Kickstarter.
The game, which will be created under license from Topps, will feature miniature figurines that will be used in a tactical, darkly humorous tabletop game.
Mantic now hopes to get additional financing through the crowd-funding site to create game add-ons including flying saucers, giant robots and mutated bugs.
