Toys featuring Hot Wheels, “Paw Patrol,” Peter Rabbit and other licensed brands take home top awards at the annual trade event.

The London Toy Fair has revealed the winners of this year’s Best New Toys awards, a number of which feature licensed properties such as “Paw Patrol” and “PJ Masks.”

Selected by an independent panel of retailers, the selected toys are what they believe will be the hottest products throughout the year. The judging panel also re-ordered the categories as well as added four new ones, including S.T.E.M., collectibles, wooden toys and wheeled toys.

“Each year it gives us great pleasure to announce Toy Fair’s Best New Toys, celebrating the success and creativity of the U.K. toy industry,” says Natasha Crookes, director, communications and public affairs, British Toy and Hobby Association. “From major brands to start-up companies, the list represents a cross section of success stories that have kept the U.K. toy industry growing over the last few years. As the market evolves, it is fantastic to see the judging panel introduce new categories such as the S.T.E.M category, which recognizes how important toys and the value of play are to a child’s development. Congratulations to all the winners.”
