LEGO Systems has launched a new property–LEGO Legends of Chima–with a range of products and a line of video games created in partnership with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

The new IP is set in a mythical land where magical animal tribes compete for control of the valuable energy source, Chi.

The lineup for the new property at launch includes building sets, a range of Speedorz obstacle courses and a free-to-play mobile racing game developed by WB Interactive.

Additional building sets, Speedorz courses, action figures and a LEGO Chima constructible board game will be released later in the year alongside several gaming assets from WB Interactive. “LEGO Legends of Chima: Laval's Journey” will be available for Nintendo DS, 3DS and PlayStation Vita this summer, and the online immersive game “LEGO Legends of Chima Online” is scheduled to launch later this year.

"Building upon our success with developing rich and immersive original storylines, most notably the recent Ninjago phenomenon, we're excited to launch a whole new world in LEGO Legends of Chima to spark any child's imagination and invite them to the world of LEGO building," says Soren Torp Laursen, president, LEGO Systems.
