Video game developer Mojang has appointed Jazwares as the global partner for toys and electronics featuring its game “Minecraft.”

The video game, which has versions for consoles, computers and mobile devices, challenges players to build structures and survive in a 3D world.

The new worldwide agreement will see Jazwares create a full Minecraft line including action figures, plush and paper craft items. Initial product will hit stores this holiday season.

“Minecraft is one of the hottest brands on the planet right now,” says Laura Zebersky, executive vice president of global sales, Jazwares. “The world is playing the game and engaging in its remarkably compelling modes. The marketplace is primed for a line of toys, electronics and paper craft items that reflect the fun and creativity of the game.”
