Agency plans CP program for classic toy and upcoming DreamWorks movie.

Ink Licensing has signed on to represent the classic toy brand Good Luck Trolls in the Nordics.

Originally created in 1959 by Danish fisherman and woodcutter Thomas Dam, generations of children have grown up playing with the fluorescent haired figures.

Ink Licensing will also represent the upcoming Trolls movie inspired by the figures, due for release in 2016 from DreamWorks Animation, a part of the agency's existing Nordic representation agreement with DWA.

The initial consumer products strategy for the brand will see Ink target original, fan based lines, tapping into the nostalgic feeling evoked by the brand’s long heritage. In collaboration with the original owner, Dam Things Holdings, Ink is looking for partners in key categories including homewares, designer items, jewelry and apparel.

“Good Luck Trolls is a classic brand with huge retro appeal and a long-standing heritage,” says Claus Tømming, director, Ink Global. “We are pleased and proud to be appointed this representation and are excited to further expand this cult brand throughout the Nordic region.
