Hasbro has announced plans to re-launch to of its classic children’s brands–Weebles and Spirograph.

Weebles, which originally debuted in the 1970s, will hit store shelves through a licensing collaboration with Character Options in fall 2013 in the U.K., Spain, Italy and Australia. The new toy range will stay true to the original “Webbles wobble but they don’t fall down!” promise, but will be re-shaped with a more rounded base and molded body shape. Initial product will feature characters from Entertainment’s One’s “Peppa Pig” including character figures, a car, a train, and play sets.

In a separate agreement, Goldfish and Bison has signed on to re-introduce the classic arts and crafts brand, Spirograph throughout Europe in 2014. The geometric drawing toy will launch at retail with a selection of colored pens and pencils and 3D glasses.

“The re-launch of Weebles and Spirograph will transport millions of adults, many of whom are now parents, back to their childhood,” says James Walker, vice president of licensing, Europe, Hasbro. “We are very excited to be working with Character Options and Goldfish and Bison to introduce these beloved play experiences. Each have decades of rich brand heritage we can share with a new global generation of children.”
