Hasbro Inks Several New Deals

Hasbro has signed multiple new licensing deals for several of its game brands, and is introducing a new Internet brand to physical games.

Under license from Rocket Games, Hasbro will bring the Internet game “Pie Face” to families everywhere. The Pie Face game will be available at most major retailers nationwide and at HasbroToyShop.com this fall.

In a partnership with Wizards of the Coast, Hasbro will launch the strategy game Magic: The Gathering Arena of the Planeswalkers Game beginning in August. Players can choose from one of five different Planeswalker figures to command as they move around the map in an attempt to out-maneuver opponents and gain tactical advantages. The Magic: The Gathering Arena of the Planeswalkers Game will be available at select major retailers and local game shops nationwide, as well as via HasbroToyShop.com.

Finally, Hasbro is mashing up its Operation game with Disney’s

Frozen

for Operation: Disney

Frozen Fever

Edition Game. The game borrows from themes from the short film

Frozen Fever

, which hit theaters last March, and will be available this fall.
