Toy company debuts new subscription service featuring its slate of gaming brands.
Hasbro has unveiled details of its first subscription box service, titled the Hasbro Gaming Crate, which will offer an exclusive collection of games curated by Hasbro Gaming experts.
The new subscription box service will include two options–The Family Crate and the Party Crate. The Family Crate will offer games designed to be played together and enjoyed by both kids and adults. The Party Grate will be geared toward college students, young adults and parents planning “adults-only” game nights.
Both Hasbro Gaming Crates will feature three games. In the first Family Crate, one of the three games will be Mask of the Pharaoh, a collaborative VR board game; the first Party Crate will include Speak Out: Joe Santagato Edition, an adult-only version of the mouthpiece challenge game.
“Delivered right to the subscribers’ doorsteps, the Hasbro Gaming Create subscription service makes it easy and convenient for families and fans to try new games,” says Jonathan Berkowitz, senior vice president, marketing, Hasbro Gaming. “Whether you’re planning a game night at home with your kids, or out with a group of friends, we’re confident the games our experts have selected for each crate will provide plenty of fun, laughter and friendly competition.”
Consumers can now subscribe to the Hasbro Gaming Crate at HasbroGamingCreate.com and will receive one crate every three months, beginning this fall.
With it’s new box service, Hasbro joins a growing roster of licensor looking to take advantage of this new retail model. For more on this exploding trend, check out our May issue feature story “Inside the Box.”
