Hip-hop drama grows product lineup with collectible dolls.

Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products has entered a two year licensing agreement with Tonner-One World for a line of collector dolls based on its TV series “Empire.”

The new doll collection will feature characters Cookie Lyon, Lucious Lyon and others from the show, and will highlight each character’s unique fashion style.

“It’s a privilege to be aligning our company with ‘Empire,’ a show whose cultural influence continues to shape modern television,” says Corinda Joanne Melton, chief executive officer, One World Holdings. “This deal with Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products represents a major step for Tonner-One World, as we continue to expand our brand.”

Tonner-One World’s lead designers, Robert Tonner and Stacey McBride-Irby, will develop the collection.

“We are thrilled to be designing a collection based on ‘Empire,’ a show that has redefined fashion on television,” says Tonner. “Our beautifully-crafted dolls will immortalize the show’s popular characters, fully embracing the exquisite style esthetic the show brings to the small screen.”

The “Empire” dolls are currently slated for release during the third season of “Empire,” which premieres this fall.
