Exploding Kittens Names New Chief Commercial Officer
Seasoned executive joins game company to oversee retail strategy.

Exploding Kittens, a tabletop game creator, has announced Jed Paulson has been named chief commercial officer. Paulson joins Exploding Kittens with more than 20 years of experience leading digital marketing, e-commerce and technology for multiple global retail companies.
“Exploding Kittens has been a leader in bringing party games and laughter into homes around the world, including mine,” says Paulson. “Joining this dynamic team of driven and talented creatives is inspiring and I’m looking forward to introducing Exploding Kittens’ games to new groups of families and friends.”
As CCO of Exploding Kittens, Paulson will oversee the commercial strategies of both the company’s direct-to-consumer site and retail partner relationships. Working with Exploding Kittens president, Carly McGinnis, and the entire team, Paulson will elevate Exploding Kittens’ digital marketing development to continue increasing game sales worldwide.
“Jed has an impressive track record of accelerating growth and strategic development for some of the brands we look up to,” says McGinnis. “We created this position to focus on expanding our footprint and increase our growth, and Jed is the right person to enhance our presence worldwide.”
Paulson most recently served as chief revenue officer at Rad Power Bikes, a North American electric bike brand, where he oversaw all revenue-related functions as well as marketing and information technology. Prior to that, Paulson was the chief digital officer at The Riveter, a female-focused coworking business in a digital community, where he was responsible for member growth, engagement, and technology. He has also served as senior vice president, digital at Aritzia overseeing digital transformation and e-commerce, vice president, digital at REI leading the e-commerce business, and director of marketing and e-commerce at Free People.
