Lima Sky’s Doodle Jump property is making the leap from mobile to console with a new handheld version set to publish on Nintendo’s 3DS and DS systems.

The games “Doodle Jump Adventures” and “Doodle Jump Journey” will be published for the Nintendo handheld systems by GameMill Publishing and developed by Smoking Gun Interactive.

“Nintendo is synonymous with great platformers, adorable characters and on-the-go gaming,” says Igor Pusenjak, co-founder, Lima Sky. “Doodle Jump is a natural fit on Nintendo’s handhelds. We’re thrilled to bring the Doodler to audiences that have yet to meet him while bringing great new adventures to our existing fans.”

The games will maintain the “pick up and play” gameplay style of the mobile original, and will introduce exclusive content such as an Adventure mode featuring 48 levels with challenges, power-ups and boss battles. Also included is an Endless mode, similar to the gameplay of the mobile app original.

The games will be available later this year.
