Disney Consumer Products has unveiled the new toy lines for the upcoming Disney∙Pixar films Inside Out and The Good Dinosaur and the 20th anniversary of Toy Story.

Disney Consumer Products has released details about the new global toy lines for the upcoming Disney?Pixar films Inside Out and The Good Dinosaur and the 20th anniversary of Toy Story.

Debuting theatrically in the U.S. on June 19 and Nov. 25, respectively, Inside Out and The Good Dinosaur will both have robust toy lines from licensee Tomy.

Tomy’s line for Inside Out will inspired by the humor, visual style and whimsical elements of the film featuring poseable character figures that light up features and more.

The broad toy range for The Good Dinosaur will be designed for kids of all ages with action figures and sophisticated remote control offerings. The unique characteristics of the film’s dinosaurs, such as how they move and run, will be reflected in the toy line. In fact, several models were built and shared with filmmakers to get the movements just right. RFID technology will allow the characters to interact with fans, bringing their unique personalities and stories to life.

“With the debut of Cars in 2006, we introduced personality and humor to toy vehicles adding a new dimension of storytelling to an established play pattern, and lifting the entire category at retail," says Josh Silverman, executive vice president global licensing, Disney Consumer Products. "Dinosaurs have always fascinated kids, and we believe Pixar’s unique take on our prehistoric friends will have a similar impact on the way they play with them in the future.”

Additionally, this summer DCP will roll out a special toy line to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the classic Pixar film Toy Story. The line will include a broad assortment of characters in a collectible figure range, favorite characters in action figure form and true-to-film talking versions of Buzz, Woody and Jessie.

"We put our hearts into these films, so it's incredibly important to us that our toy-making partners care about and do justice to these characters we know so well," said John Lasseter, chief creative officer, Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios. "The toys Tomy has created for Inside Out and The Good Dinosaur are fantastic–they've truly brought our characters to life.”
