Cryptozoic, Warner Bros. Unite for ‘Superfriends’ Card Game

Warner Bros.

has inked a deal with

Cryptozoic

to launch a card game based on its classic DC superheroes.

The “Challenge of the Superfriends” card game will see players take the roles of Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Batman and Robin as they attempt to thwart the deeds of the League of Doom.

Cryptozoic’s card game will leverage the new Gryphon Engine to deliver a fast-paced playstyle for two to four players.

“Our team grew up as fans of the ‘Challenge of the Superfriends’ TV show, so we’re incredibly excited to launch our Gryphon Engine with a game featuring the characters and unmistakable style we love so much,” says Adam Sblendorio, vice president, creative, Cryptozoic. “The game is intuitive and unfolds at lightning speed since everyone plays their cards at the same time with no waiting around. It comes in a small box, but there’s nothing small about the experience inside–the game offers tons of fun for gamers of all skill levels.”

Cryptozoic has previously launched games and trading cards

based on

“Rick & Morty"

 and the

“Outlander.”
