USAopoly has announced a licensing agreement to combine Critical Role, a story-driven and world-building digital media brand, with Steve Jackson Games’ card game “Munchkin.”

“Munchkin: Critical Role” will bring together Critical Role’s weekly tentpole web series with the “Munchkin” game world, where players take risks, betray their friends and grab loot to reach Level 10 and win. The deal was negotiated by Critical Role’s Licensing Agent, Jason Kletzky, President of Collaborations Licensing.

“We couldn’t be more excited to release this game to fans of Critical Role and ‘Munchkin’ and meet an ever-growing demand for both franchises,” says Heather Campbell, vice president, sales, The Op.

Critical Role’s weekly web series features “The Mighty Nein” adventuring party, which includes eight voice actors who gather for ongoing livestreamed roleplaying game sessions.

"We're thrilled to see the world and characters of the Mighty Nein come to life in card game form with ‘Munchkin,’ and we can't wait to share it with the Critters,” says Ben Van Der Fluit, vice president, business development, Critical Role. “We wouldn't be here today without them.”

“Fast-playing and silly, ‘Munchkin’ appeals to a very wide audience,” says Phil Reed, chief executive officer, Steve Jackson Games. “In this version of ‘Munchkin,’ fans will compete to grab magic and kill monsters specific to Critical Role, such as Lorenzo and Avantika.”

It will be available this fall in North America, the U.K., Australia and New Zealand in specialty stores for $24.99. Two 1,000-piece Critical Role jigsaw puzzles will also roll out this year, each for $14.99.
