Comic-Con: Hasbro’s HasLab Takes On Massive Transformers Project

Hasbro has announced a new HasLab project inspired by the 1986 film

Transformers: The Movie.

Announced at Comic-Con, the project asks fans to back the creation of a giant Cybertron Unicorn Transformer replica that stands more than 27inches, weighs 19 pounds and has more than 50 points of articulation. As an exclusive collectible, it would be the largest Transformer figure ever to be produced. The collectible will cost $574.99 if it reaches its crowdsourced goal of 8,000 backers.

Unicron is a villainous Transformer that was first introduced over 30 years ago in the first animated Transformer feature film. Voiced by Orson Wells, the character is known for its massive size and ability to transform into a planet.

HasLab is Hasbro’s crowdsourcing initiative, which is designed to give fans the chance to buy unique products. The platform recently pushed out a campaign to develop
