Scholastic Media is collaborating with Intel to design interactive gaming content using voice and gesture interaction technology.

The first products in the collection will feature the Scholastic franchises Clifford the Big Red Dog and I Spy and are designed to be used on the pAIO, a new category of PCs that offer the performance of a full PC inside a lay-flat, battery-based design.

The new interactive game “Clifford's Reading Adventures,” which debuted at the International Consumer Electronics Show this week in Las Vegas, Nev., uses Intel's RealSense technology to let kids become active participants in Clifford stories using motion-based interactions and by voicing story elements.

Scholastic and Intel are also planning an interactive multiplayer board game, “I Spy Challenger,” designed to promote collaborative digital play.

Both games will be available for Windows Desktop and Windows Metro. Several additional games are in development through 2015.
