Less than two months after the U.K. launch of the property, Bulldog Licensing has added two new publishing partners for Moose Toys' girls' collectible brand Shopkins.
Distributed in the U.K. by Flair, Shopkins are tiny, grocery-themed collectibles inspired by items from the grocery store.
Bulldog represents the brand for licensing in the U.K. market.
The new deals include DJ Murphy for magazines in the U.K. and Eire and Pedigree for annuals in the U.K., Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and South Africa. The two new additions join Scholastic, which is planning a range of titles that will hit the market this year.
DJ Murphy will launch its Shopkins magazines in early spring. The magazines will include stories, games cartoons and competitions based on Apple Blossom, Strawberry Kiss, Pineapple Crush and other brand characters.
The Pedigree Shopkins annuals will include a traditional winter book available in October as well as seasonal activity editions and bumper packs that will be available beginning this spring.
“The brand only debuted a short while ago at Brand Licensing Europe show and is already making major waves in the U.K. licensing market,” says Rob Corney, managing director, Bulldog Group. “These publishing licenses awarded to two of the most respected and successful names in the business will play a major part in spreading the word and meeting strong demand.”
The two publishers join existing licensees in games, posters, plush and novelty accessories. Bulldog is also in advanced discussions with licensees in the back-to-school, stationery and apparel categories.
