The agreement, which covers the U.S. and Canada, will see Spin Master taking on Big Potato’s 15 existing board game titles including The Chameleon and Linkee. Spin Master will also work with Big Potato on new games based on Disney’s Color Brain, which will launch later this year along with the Blockbuster board game.

"Big Potato is a boutique company with an extremely creative and talented team," says Anton Rabie, co-founder and Co-chief executive officer, Spin Master. "We're thrilled about our partnership with them and the opportunity to bring their games to a wider audience."

Blockbuster was a chain of movie-rental stores that once included more than 9,000 stores globally. Following the growth of digital streaming services, the chain began to lose business and was eventually sold to Dish Corp,. which shuttered most of the company’s stores. Today, only one official Blockbuster store is still standing in Bend, Oregon.
