Classic arcade game heads into the digital space with social gaming, apps and more.

Bay Tek Games has signed a number of new licensing agreements that will see the development of Skee-Ball-themed digital products.

Dimensional Branding Group, Bay Tek’s exclusive licensing agency for the Skee-Ball brand, helped broker the deals.

Kicking off the slate of new partnerships is Ocean Media, which will create a branded interactive app. The new app will be available on all major interactive platforms, including iOS, Android, PC, Mac, Linus and consoles later this year.

Other licensees on board for the program include Bally’s for slot machines, Alchemy3 for state lotto tickets, Zynga for online social gaming and Running Press Books for desktop games.

Additionally, Bay Tek has also partnered with Full Circle United to develop exclusive, branded Skee-Ball leagues and tournaments across the country. Under the terms of the agreement, Full Circle will manage the competitive tournaments under its trademark Brewskee-Ball.

“Since acquiring Skee-Ball in 2016, we have been hard at work to leverage the Skee-Ball IP and build on its unparalleled brand equity,” says Holly Hampton, director, marketing and innovation, Bay Tek Games. “Now over 100 years old, Skee-Ball continues to thrive as a beloved game that combines family fun, social interaction and a challenging test of skills. Skee-Ball has proven itself to have enormous potential to grow in digital, interactive environments, while maintaining its amazing appeal as a hands-on experience in arcades across the country. We are tremendously excited about the potential for the brand in 2017 and beyond.”
