Ashley Mady will oversee brand development

NORTH AMERICA—Basic Fun!, the toy company formed from the merger of The Bridge Direct and Tech 4 Kids, has appointed Ashley Mady to serve as the company’s head of brand development.

In her new role, Mady will help to conceptualize Basic Fun!’s new sustainable brands as well as oversee the company’s digital and social media presence. She will also track trends, lead inventor relations and collaborate with the brand management team on growth plans across the company’s product portfolio. Additional duties will include building Basic Fun!’s corporate brand, serving as a brand ambassador at consumer and trade events.

“In the 12 years I’ve known Ashley, she has always shown herself to be a sharp, forward-thinking, well-respected and creative with great instincts. We all feel incredibly fortunate that she’s now part of our team,” says Jay Foreman, chief executive officer, Basic Fun!. 

Prior to joining Basic Fun!, Mady founded and operated the brand licensing and creative agency Brandberry.

Mady will continue to serve as the president of the Women in Toys organization, complimenting her role at Basic Fun!.
