Barbie Celebrates Batman’s 85th Anniversary

Warner Bros. Discovery is celebrating 85 years of Batman in 2024. Batman Day is celebrated on the third Saturday of September every year, and this year will be on Sept. 21.

For the 85th anniversary of Batman, Mattel is celebrating with two new Barbie Signature dolls – Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy.

Meet the “Queen of Green” from Gotham City, Poison Ivy. Part woman, part plant, her hybrid DNA shows in every detail of her doll, from her chlorophyll-colored skin to her verdant eyes. She also has a wrist-mounted crossbow and Venus flytrap.

The Clown Princess of Crime, Harley Quinn, has her mallet with her, along with bouncy pigtails, a black-and-red outfit and a mischievous grin. The doll brings together the modern and classic looks of the villain.
