Bandai has launched the toy line for the latest iteration of Saban’s Power Rangers, “Power Rangers Super Megaforce,” which debuted on Nickelodeon Feb. 15.

The line, which includes role play items, action figures and large-scale buildable robots, is anchored by the collectible Legendary Ranger Keys.

The set of 60 collectible Power Ranger figures morph into keys that can be inserted into multiple Super Megaforce toys to unlock special features. Through the “Power Rangers Scanner” app (available now for iOS and Android devices), kids can also scan their Ranger keys and morph themselves into that Power Ranger then battle villains on-screen.

"Ranger Keys will allow kids to 'unlock the power' in 2014," says Brehan Maul, vice president, brand management, Bandai America. "Whether pretending to be their favorite Ranger with our show-authentic line of role play toys, using their imagination to create epic Megazords with the Zord Builder collection or even playing on their smartphone or tablet, the Ranger Keys offer physical, digital and promotional extensions that enhance the Super Megaforce play experience."

Bandai is planning two interactive promotions for the toy line this year. The first, a Morphin Madness tournament, will take place in the spring. From March 10 to April 7, fans can vote for their ultimate Power Rangers dream team. Participants will get coupons for Super Megaforce toys and be entered in the chance to win 24-karat, gold-plated Deluxe Legendary Morpher and a Legendary Ranger Key set of the fan-selected final five Rangers.

In the fall, Bandai will launch the Unlock the Power sweepstakes where kids can use their Power Ranger keys to win prizes and unlock rewards.
