Ageless Innovation Debuts Age-Inclusive Hasbro TABOO Game
New TABOO Charades edition adds movement and memory for an age-inclusive gaming experience.
Ageless Innovation, a company focused on enhancing lives as we age through play, has launched a new version of Hasbro’s classic game, TABOO, designed for older adults and their families. TABOO Charades introduces physical activity elements to the original gameplay, encouraging engagement through charades and movement. This release is part of Ageless Innovation’s partnership with Hasbro to adapt classic games for an age-inclusive audience.
Since early 2023, Ageless Innovation has collaborated with Hasbro to design game editions tailored for older adults, including oversized pieces and large-text content. TABOO Charades joins other reimagined Hasbro classics, such as Trivial Pursuit Generations, Game of Life Generations and Scrabble Bingo. TABOO Charades incorporates easy-to-read cards with familiar words from past decades and features the iconic TABOO buzzer and a “game log” to capture shared memories during play.
“This reimagined edition of TABOO offers fresh challenges and content that keeps the classic spirit of TABOO alive while adding new components that make the gameplay more fun and accessible for a different demographic,” says Ted Fischer, chief executive officer, co-founder, Ageless Innovation. “As loneliness and social isolation among older adults continue to surge, it’s more important than ever that we continue engaging this often-underserved community in a meaningful and joyful way, and our incredible and expanding partnership with Hasbro allows us to do just that.”
The launch aligns with Ageless Innovation’s “Reach Out and Play” program, which aims to foster social connections for older adults. It is now available on Amazon and is expected to reach major retailers by early 2025.
