A new line of soft doll plush characters will be lining shelves soon following a successful master plush licensing deal between AGC Toys and Beverly Hills Teddy Bear for the Afro Goddess Warrior collection.

The five-piece, 15-inch character collection – set to hit the market in 2025 – aims to provide a cuddly celebration of culture, self-discovery and mystical adventure.

“The messaging that women are damsels in distress is simply outdated,” says Andrea Furtick, chief executive officer, AGC Toys. “Women are natural goddesses and warriors. We are brilliant, unique and magical beings from the very start, and by ways of the Afro Goddess Warriors Collection, a tribe of committed licensees that want to inspire resilience, culture, wisdom and class in the current and future generations of women is growing. What a glorious time to be alive.”

Based upon an adventurous backstory and supported by over 150 characters, Afro Goddess Warriors brings to life the lands of Alkebulan and mystical characters of the Afro Goddess Warrior tribe.

Now, with Beverly Hills Teddy Bear a part of that plan, AGC Toys finds confidence in what’s to be produced by its quality-driven team.

“We’re truly excited to partner for the mass creation of the Afro Goddess Warrior plush collection,” says David Socha, chief executive officer, Beverly Hills Teddy Bear. “This inclusive and uplifting energy is needed in the world today, and we are happy to be a part of it.”

The Afro Goddess Warrior Plush is part of a three-tier licensing program being implemented by AGC Toys, in partnership with Cuesta Licensing, that spans physical toys to tech-enabled experiences and gaming.

“I am passionate about the celebration of the rich culture that Andrea [Furtick] has so beautifully developed with the creation of The Afro Goddess Warriors brand,” says Marlene Cuesta, chief executive officer, Cuesta Licensing. “I’m excited to have brought these two companies together, and we can’t wait to reveal what we have coming to retailers. It’s monumental.”
